ideas and images in my work relate to the history of the grotesque
where strangeness is more compelling than normality. I populate
imagined spaces with curious and fantastic creatures, actual
and bizarre plant forms, acrobats, and symbols of chance and
renewal. |

Works
produced in 2005 included experimentation with encaustic and oil
painting, and pokerwork
on wooden panels. These works also incorporated decal transfers,
printed onto Lazertran. The grain in the timber panels informed
the compositional placement of the decals and the pokerwork. |
